Today on twitter I saw a link to this camp video and thought I'd share it.
They have a very dynamic and well-designed website, and I thought this video was great. Very clear in the mission of their camp, and appealing to both parents and kids. Professionally done and long enough to really showcase their camp.
The brilliant part? You can embed it in a blog or share on Facebook straight from their site- how smart is that? Can you imagine your camp video being share all over the web?
Take a look and share your thoughts in the comments below- {you can just choose anonymous and sign your name!}
Camp Cedar Cliff Promo Video 2010 from Camp Cedar Cliff on Vimeo.
Here are a few WAIC Camps that have their videos available on the web:
Catalina Island Camps
Pali Adventure Camps {video for each camp program}
Camp Ocean Pines
Mountain Camp
Gold Arrow Camp
Walton's Grizzly Lodge
When using a video on your site, you want to make sure it's accessible! Having to download additional software to view it will result in considerably fewer views.
Do you have camp moms that blog or have a great presence on Facebook? Ask them to embed/share your video!

Video posting on your camp website is a must these days! Your campers and your camper parents want to be told the story of your camp, and they want to be written into that story and the the medium of video does an amazing job of showing, telling and inviting others to join in your camps story... Thank you for talking about this in your post we hope more take advantage of all the amazing tools that are out there for them!
www.vimeo.com is such a GREAT tool. We here at Social Village, are finding much better success with them, than we are with YouTube. The embedding quality is stellar as well.
